Hmmm...interesting thread. It's more a dissapointment-thing for me. Sometimes I buy a cd which is very good, sometimes I have high expectations from an artist/producer and they screw it up. That's been happening too much, and trancetracks are getting a little bit predictable for me. Lately I've been listening a lot to old trance from around 1995/96 and to progressive (as in Greg Benz, James Holden, Sasha, Shiloh etc.), mainly because of the things I red on (a.o) this forums. It kinda broadened my horizons, A year ago I never knew there were people like Holden, Infected Mushroom or Ozgur Can and the music they represent. I think I've been to loyal to one genre all those times. But good hardtrance never bores me (although that's a rare thing nowadays: a good hardtrancetrack)....

I dont think I have ever thought off to much trance, lately I have been listening to alot of older tracks, old late 90's sets... goood stuff.

+1 mate

i've been regressing into the classics as well

Thanks for the numerous responses.

"Spacy Orange" I dont think its a fad, since I have been listening for about two years now, and I still enjoy it, but not to the same degree as I used to. And its not the whole EDM scene, its just trance.

I'm really starting to get into deep house. And now, I go back and forth between house and trance, (and even sometimes DnB and Hip Hop) and this balance definitely works.

As "TorontoTrance" put it: "It happens to most people I think and you just branch off and you become more of an EDM addict."

Once again, thanks everyone for the help and support.

i go through periods of liking and then disliking music just like everyone...but i think the best is just always a mixture of it all...i get bored of just trance...and i get bored of just breaks...and i get bored of just electro...etc.
