$10 is more than reasonable for a movie. $14 IS NOT.

In 1998 you could see a movie for $8.50. In 2000 its was $13. Now im not stats major but im pretty sure that this was NOT a reflection of inflation. But it shows that they ended up shooting themselves in the foot because people have obviously stopped going.

it's a good start but it's not enough. 9.95 for a movie is still too much. if it goes down to 5.50 i will go. as the article says, there will no longer be cheap tuesdays. cheap tuesday night will go up to 9.95. thanks for nothing.

i would still rather lay on my couch and watch a movie than suffer through the crap seating and rude people at the movie.

$5.50?

This is not 1980. $10 is not a big deal to see a movie. I dont think going to see a movie at a theatre should cost the same as renting one. Thats ridiculous. $14 right now is too much but i think $10 is just about right.

10$ tax in is pretty good, considering the good maintenance and well equipped most of the new theatres are.

Fairway Cineplex. $5.49 and it's close enough that I can walk.

I pay 7.50 for my movies at the Cineplex at the Orion Gate in Brampton (Steeles and Rutherford).

But 10 bucks is fair I suppose, AMC's been charging that much for students and 11 for moviewatcher members (free to join) for what... 2 or 3 years now? With more comfortable seating and cleaner theatres then Famous Players as well... way to be on top of things FP!
