#2 - they tried to grab the cops GLOCK PISTOL loaded with 14 ROUNDS of LIVE AMMUNITION now why would peace protesters need a gun?
#3 - the protesters used their megaphone as a weapon hitting two cops on the head with it and it was with enough force that the megaphone was in pieces afterwards i know because i saw it with my own two eyes
okay I was there and didn't see either... infact, if anything, it was the cop reaching for the pistol buddy.
I know that a cop was on the ground at one point, but I really think it came natural for the guy to resist arrest at a time like this where he was obviously going to be arrested either way.
You know what, even though, it's been said that the 3 guys arrested in the scene were taken to an empty lecture hall where they were beaten, plus for the ones who followed and knocked on the doors, 2 additional people were also dragged into the room.

When you're about to be arrested by a cop, the proper course of action is to shut your big yap and go limp. Any idiot knows that.
You can assert your rights to whatever extent you please around cops right up until the point where they put their hand on you - after which you DO NOT MOVE unless you want to increase your pain.
That's not police brutality - that's policing. Cops have their OWN safety to worry about too you know.

Bull.
What time, precisely, did this happen?
Which lecture hall?
How many officers?
For how long?
Who were the witnesses?
Did they file a formal complaint against the police?
^ Why didn't they file a formal complaint?
Who got beaten? Names?
How injured are they?
Evidence? Blood stains? Hospital logs?
You know somebody is bullshitting when the details are that vague ("3 guys were taken to an empty lecture hall and beaten").

I'm not trying to justify the guy's actions here.
Being the dominant force they're, i doubt they handled the situation as approperiately as it could have been. Maybe you're right? I'm not gonna argue.

Those videos sealed the deal for him being convicted of resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.

Although the cameras didn't seem to capture why he was taken down, once you are, you comply if you don't want to get ruffed up.
Disobeying a police officer and resisting arrest is just going to get your ass beaten until you do comply. That's not brutality, that's called being stupidly resistant. The force used in an arrest is basicaly linked to how much resistance is displayed.
Don't resist, and you get to keep your teeth. You fight in the courtroom for justice, not kick and scream like a twit @ the guys cuffing you.

fixed my counting thanx for pointing out my missing of #7
on another note the megaphone over the head instant wasnt up for debate a cop was INJURED ON DUTY because of it and though i have not seen it i am sure there is hospital logs to back it up -- probably police paperwork too granting the i.o.d. officer time off to recuperate

Actually, you guys are the morons. You're just talking out of your asses. You don't know what actually happened. They didn't get beaten up? Two of them ended up in the fucking hospital. The cops asked them to disperse, and then 2 seconds later jumped the guy. They didn't give them enough time.
They didn't deserve it. The cops were in the wrong. Next time you want to judge, do a little research before you open your mouths.
