i ususall brought a bottle of water up there with me, then if i needed a little break i would take a sip. but before hand i would tell them i had a bit of a sore throat and excuse the water....oh crack a joke that helps too. i did that and not only did it kill time but it relaxed me and the audience AND i got extra credit.
oh i was also stoned outta my mind
