I mean, when they first introduced "pink spots". They wouldn't have thought they could just issue temporary handicapped parking passes and use the parking spots they had, meanwhile saving some paint?

Because "pink" parking spots are not a government idea. They are the brainchild of some politically correct mall owner and they idea has spread like a disease.

Id like to thank that person for always having a spot reserved for me.

I think its offensive to women to declare something that is a natural function for them to be called a disability. Whats more i think its outrageous that we are teaching little kids to be lazy by allowing them to always park near the entrance. My mom had no problem dragging us a few extra feet through the parking lot. Why should it be different now?

What are you complaining about ? See a pink spot free, just park there and say the wife's at the hair dresser or something ...

I voted "YES", just cause i don't have a car, and even if i did -- i don
't have a problem with giving a pregnant women the closer parking spot. It's called being a gentleman...

It isn't necessarily for parents with kids, it's more set for women who are expecting. The last stages of pregnancy can be EXTREMELY uncomfortable and massively straining on the body. I think it's a nice thing for women who are pregnant to not have to walk more than they need to.

Even if it weren't for expecting mothers, but for parents with small children, I think it isn't so much of having to drag their kids a long way, but more like having to carry a million things (like groceries) as well as possibly a baby carrier, and some little ones hands. I certainly wouldn't want my child walking through a busy parking lot without him/her being latched to me. Being a parent is stressful and much more difficult in these times where often both parents are working, and kids can't be left at home.

Jeez, give these people a break, they are the mother's and father's of our children now, and our leaders later. Do we really want to be making the lives of people raising our kids more stressed and irate?

What is wrong with helping others out? My gawd people, if a man were able to get pregnant, I would still be up for the idea. It's all about making others lives easier, and not always only thinking about yourself.

agreed which is why at that stage women should be resting at home.

How on earth have half a dozen generations survived up to this point without designated parking spots for kids? The horror!

Everything is stressful. They should have "bad hair day" parking as well.

if walking an extra 20 feet is that stressful to someone then hope is already lost.

Here is a way to help pregnant women: Make it so they dont have to worry about parking and do her chores for her. Be a good father!
