good track selection, and i'm glad you learned to mix, but there's no flow. check out the Oslo sets to get a better understanding on how progressive mixes should flow

hrm... yea i'm not too great with the flow... i usually just mix tracks that are pretty much in key... and don't clash too much... as for the building up of the set i tried to build it from smooth prog to more energetic prog trance... ah well... as i was talking to lee before.... i usually buy tracks that i really really like... which sorta limits the amount of flow i can have with them. Not too shabby for someone who started last january.. =).

p.s. i remember u had a problem with my beatmatching and mixing b4, but come on... that was literally after 4 months of spinning... and it was offbeat so minimally that mostly only djs would notice..

lol.. you keep saying flow this, flow that so i checked out one of your mixes to see the great 'flow' you seem to create, but there were none. i just listened to 'lucid dream' and the tracks dont even coincide eachother well, the first transition is horrible, the horrid male vocals appear right after the first track and kills the vibe and the mood.. and wtf is Arrola - Dreaming[percussion mix] doing in there, that does not go with the mix at all. and this is not even a live set, if it was a live set at least its spontaneous but this im sure you planned to use tracks in its order of appearance... your arrangement, placement, and mixing was not on point. overall, not such a good mix man.. make sure your shit is good enuff before giving advices to other ppl. cuz your shit had 0 'flow' whatsoever.

"flow" is kind of subjective. What one person thinks is a nicely flowing set, another may not.

To respond to your biased statement: my mood wasn't ruined by the first transition, and neither was anyone else’s who listened to the mix that I spoke with. I put Dreaming in there, because I felt like it. I needed a harder element to transition from melodic trance to the somewhat harder and more energetic pieces that I brought in later. So i used Dreaming, I finally got my hands on the vinyl and wanted to use it, and I did. I feel that my mixing could've used more work, but it was rushed and i'd rather satisfice then spend hours attempting to please an arrogant Korean who decides to henpeck me because I constructively critiqued his friend.

i personally think the first transition was horrible and so were the vocals.. and dreaming didnt go with the set at all. and no im not friends with hai lee, we dont even know eachother, just on the board so you can stop assuming.. and what does me being korean have to do with anything ? obviously nothing and/or that youre prejudiced. i was basically getting tired of you complaining about flow so i decided to check one of your stuff out, and i did, and it sucked. thats how i took it honestly regardless of whomever your friends or other ppl might have thought about your mix.

OK,. back to the mix. I've been listening to it, i like the tracks, like I said earlier, especially Wooden Swordz. Check out Oslo Nights, so you can see how Elusive and Likwit build up their mixes. You're right your mixing did improve, and I did critique you about that before, and I hope it gave you some motivation to get better, which you did, and which was my purpose for telling you in the first place. Same with me I buy tracks that I really like, as for the example that was mentioned above, Dreaming, I fit it into my mix as best as I could.
