It took me two pages to even get any creative and relevant input due to the fact that I had to battle you for no reason at all. After all, you are no moderator nor are you some big man on this forum, therefore quit judging me and what I wanna post about.
I guess that's what I get when I argue with someone called "sandstorm." Jesus Chris did I go below my level. |
once again, i dont think you even put any personal input into this thread, other then the fact that im missing some screws in my head. Which unfortunately is probably true, but something i can not control.
ps im not called sandstorm, i do have a real name.

Okay. I don't know your real name, sorry.
How i feel is this. I think that low quality music has had an important impact on trance. Due to this I agree with the guy's website. However, I also think that the life-cycle of the genre has come to the full front. We as listeners are looking for something with a different feel to it and all we have been getting lately is remixes of old tracks or new tracks that have been mimics of the older tunes. This of course doesn't apply to everything because we have seen good efforts and we will continue to find them. I just think that quality has dropped due to people getting major money and therefore declining in talent.
When it comes to the states, we're still blind to EDM. I don't know what's it gonna take but I'm really tired of EDM labeled as Techno here in the states, and/or going to club and listening to Jan Wayne, Lasgo, Sammy, Acosta and etc. Miami is not helping musch either, but it has made a dent for sure.

i dont think many people here in ny/boston even know Jan Wayne, Lasgo, Sammy, Acosta...
they all listen to rap, or the danny's/sander
alot of people are complaining trance is dead, 99% of them could not even tell you what trance is in the first place.

I am assuming you are talking about record sales here, and if you are, you are way wrong. Sales are so low, artists and labels are happy if they break even. If anything quality has dropped way off because artists have had to go get real jobs to pay the bills and spending less time in the studio.
Less money= getting real jobs= less time in studio= less creativity
