...
This mix is more mono-label (Iboga) than most of my others. I tend to mix different labels, but on this one I was after a very specific sound. I don't consciously worry about how many tracks I use from a certain label, although I do try to keep a variety in who the tracks are produced by. The run of three FREq tracks is a first for me. |
Not a problem... just providing the comments

Rusty is a great friend of mine, do you know him well? |
Right on... my mix is languishing unattended somewhere around here still I met Rusty a few times when he was here in Toronto and every once in a while give him a shout by email...

Now this is something that doesn't surprise me in the least any more... I get some of the weirdest reactions to some of my mixes - and I'm actually expecting many more from this current mix of mine (because it strays so far from the usual start slow, progress upwards in energy format most trance mixes take)... music is a form of communication, and while the way we interact gives the illusion of understanding in most instances, truly the mind-to-mind transfer goes through a completely different set of protocols in the process from one to the next... fidelity of the data flow is always thrown into question. We may be speaking the same language but the gears turning behind the eyes (and ears) are of a completely foreign manufacture. Yeah, it certainly is cool - the differing ways in which we all experience auditory stimulus.
