What malek is said is true, they could have killed Walid Jumblatt, a Druze leader of the opposition who has held that position for quite a while.
Now about who did it, the first thing i'd like to say is that as a lebanese i'm a little angered at the fact that people not of lebanese descent dismiss the fact that it was Syria. I would bet my bottom dollar on the fact that it was Syria. You non-lebanese don't know what the syrians did to lebanon from 1975-1990. they killed a president, a president-elect, a few prime ministers and several parliamentarians, including Walid Jumblatt's father who was an outspoken critic of Syria.
The Mossad and the CIA can easily be blamed because it would seem that both the US and Israel would have something to possibly gain from this. Even I, no fan of either the US or Israel, do not believe it was either one of them. this entire affair reeks of syrian intelligence. ******s.
