I smell something fishy,we are not being told the whole truth.

Even if he did set up a shooting place hide for himself ,he would only get one cop ,the other one would not enter the same way. And he would have enough time to call for backup.

Something deffinatly they are not telling us.

You forgot to mention that:

-the killer was released from custody by a Justice of the Peace just before the shooting

-he had a long list of criminal convictions, including a two and a half year prison term for sexually assaulting a boy

-he used a semi-automatic, assault-style rifle to mow down all 4 Mounties within seconds from a sniper position

-Alberta does not have its own provincial police force; the RCMP have that role there

Very shocking and sad to hear about 4 RCMP officers die in the line of duty.

I dont smell any conspiracy here, just some psychopath gone insane. The only thing that really puzzles me is that he shot himself afterwards - that really makes me think if there was more than just one bad guy ... we may not find out about that, not at least after the complete crime scene analysis
