As far as I'm aware, thats a production program not a DJ program.

I lost my motivation last summer when my DJX700 died on me. What a piece of crap. Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky few that preordered it not knowing how much of a piece of sh*t is was going to be. I got remotivated by buying a DJM600 and a pile of records. Life is good again.

Trust me, you'll never have motivation problems if you have a site to maintain on a regular basis.

This is a good idea, I've been wanting to do this for a while but seeing yours (simple and to the point), instills some confidence in me. I also looked over some of your setlists, your house sets seem promising. (A few tracks on there are in my crates.)

I'm kinda losing my motivation right now, but I think its just because my tables are low-end, and I've been able to play on technics and stanton str8's lately (a lot more fun than my gemini's)... Gives me something to work toward.

Yeah, it's really easy to do what I did, simply check out W3C Schools. Start with HTML, and work your way though CSS. That will give you more than enough knowledge to build a functional site. But trust me, I'm going to be revamping it a wee bit over my spring break. It needs some subtle graphics, and I want to see if I can podcast my sets. Because frankly, that would kick ass.

The reason I like this site so much is that they go through one concept at a time, and give you a chance to play around with it so you understand how it works. Also googling for "CSS" will bring about a tons of different sites with sample code which you can base your own site from.

If nothing else, you can be working ont he site until you get your new TT's, and then use the site as a way to break them in. Good luck if you decide to make the jump, it's very rewarding getting your work out in the real world!

all the time, brutha.

spinning records is just one of my hobbies.. cars, computers, electronics, amateur radio, astrology, and sleep all take turns for my free time! the fulltime job doesnt help, either..

so there will be days or weeks when my decks do little more than play a few records. sad, but true!

regardless, if your not feeling it, dont sweat it. put it down a while and come back when you are feeling it. the time away from the decks will let you forget the ruts you are in, and you'll come back fresh with new ideas and methods.

leaving it be for a while will also prevent you from getting burnt out or frustrated, im guessing one of these two are why you presently are not feeling it..

sometimes leaving the dust covers on your decks for a few weeks is the best way to get past a plateau... i think most of us find we hit plateaus of experience, where we just cant seem to advance more. a damn brick wall, can be highly frustrating. these are generally caused by focusing on the improper areas or highlighting your flaws rather than focusing on expanding your skills. a little time to focus on other areas of interest will clear these blocks and give you time to think below the surface about your musical style.

good luck!
