Pretty much, if my kid is smoking weed, i have less of a problem w/ that than oftentimes the crowd of ppl (particularily in highschool) that u end up often ultimately hanging around with.
its not always the drug that makes the "stoner" kids dumb and under-acheivers as is steretypically said... i think its often just those kids' natural take on life and school. (and being high seems to go along great with that type of attitude). it appears to me that ppl with simialr attitudes all happen to seem to enjoy smoking pot and thats why often groups of these "less than idealistic students" form.

sadly, their attitude on life is a very easy one to jump on the bandwagon of (hehehe, just kick back, stop caring and worrying in general about stuff like school, etc.). im not saying that all (or even most) potsmokers in highschool were of such a variety... hell i smoked alot of weed in highschool, but generally for whutever reasons, i never identified w/ the core group of chronic potheads who acted this way.

uhm, i think the point of all that was just to say, for me, id be more concerned about type of ppl my child is more likely to associate w/ if he smokes alot of weed than if he werent to smoke weed at all. i just wouldnt want my child appropriating the attitude that i saw that many of the chronics held at my highschool!

same goes for other drugs. just in general, i dont necessarily find any outright probs w/ doing drugs... but its a damn slippery slope and its easy to start falling down that incline and not really know that u acutally ARE falling down it. thats the scary part u gotta watch out for and be ever viligant in avoiding!

No it wasn't obvious...because everyone's interpretation can be subjective.
That's why I prefer to ask for clarity direct from the source and not from someone else...and I don't think I was being unreasonable with this request.

But it's nice to see how supportive you are to DigiNut...It's always nice to have an alliance of friends.

Sadly samhouse's response has been tainted by the interpretation made by another...it hardly seems worthwhile pursuing.
Especially since there are questions and answers that are of more interest to me now, than what's in this thread.

well, okay so i agree with diginut then no necisarily samhouse? i was going to write something similar to what samhouse wrote, but since he already wrote what i thought (and im pretty sure he meant what i meant) then whats the point of writing the same thing again? =)

rodrico's response sounds like a laugh, but i would just be honest with my kids (if i have any). i would have no problem discussing my experiences with the drugs that i have done and explain why maybe it was a bad idea. but keeping your kids in touch with good information is the best way, kids are pretty fuckin smart these days and will do research if you point them in the right direction. i know i did alot of reading before the first time i dropped E. i wouldnt condone the behavour from my kids but i wouldn't disown them for doing it. unless they redefined moderation to megaration.... then i would have some issues. the one thing i would never do tho is get high with my kids. i got high with one of my aunts once and it was the weirdest trip ever........

exactly the way i feel, i would encourage it, but at the same time. I sure am glad for the expiriences i've had. great times.
Of course their are many risk and i beleive that is the key thing to teach your kids. Keep them inform, and raise them properly and they will make the right choise
