thats ok - theres 3 southampton townies on this board at least - me, mef, djdk.

me and mef can pin you against the wall whilst dave kicks you in the shins.

on a side note - we managed to derail this thread pretty quickly. although admittedly it was a horrible wreckage of a post to begin with. i feel somewhat responsible for making it even more of a trainwreck than it already is. oh well.

this rollercoaster ride to hell should stop here. ahem. on to more serious issues!

yea i wanna see some pics.

i wanna see all that sexy gear assembled on a rack (phwoar - check out that rack), then you have to post numerous pictures of you striking superman style poses whilst playing on the jp8000 and the indigo at the same time. we could photoshop some speech bubbles: 'look - no hands!'

it would be funny. and we get to cut out your face and psychopathically substitute it for our own in some twisted and demented fantasy. uhhhh. yea.

anyways, seems like u have gone in the hardware trap, alot of rich and spoiled kids go down that way...

u could do BETTER music if u bought Reason or FL or a cheap software like that.. equipment shall only be bought when NEEDED...

Armin van Buuren`s first track Blue Fear, was made only with a sampler, and some cheap stuff i dont recall the name on..

HEY HEY HEY! C'mon!

HEY EVERYBODY! WAIT A MINUTE!
EVERYBODY HERE ARE SAYING A LOT OF THINGS """"WITHOUT"""" KNOW ME!!!

I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM THE FUC... ANALOG SYNTHESIZER....THIS DON'T MEANS THAT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY KEYBOARD...

NOBODY HERE HAS HEARED WHAT I MAKE...I DON'T MAKE REALLY PROFESSIONAL QUALITY SOUND, BUT I CAN MAKE GOOD MUSIC, COMPLETELY GOOD MUSIC...

WHAT I HAVE IS JUST A RESULT OF DAYS AND DAYS AND CRAZY DAYS OF WORK...PURE WORK...BECAUSE I REALLY LOVE COMPLETELY, NOT ONLY TRANCE MUSIC, BUT, ANALOG SYNTHESIZERS AND THEIR SOUNDS...

IF EACH PERSON THAT WROTE HERE IN MY THREAD, HAVE MONEY TO BUY A VERY GOOD SYNTH WITHOUT KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM IT, AND WON'T BUY IT ONLY BECAUSE DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE A PATCH ON IT, WILL BE A LIER...

IT'S SIMPLE...I'VE WORKED A LOT, AND I'VE GOT IT...I DON'T NEED TO KNOW PROGRAM IT TO PLAY IT AND MAKE MUSIC WITH IT...I JUST CAN DOWNLOAD A LOT OF PATCHES IN INTERNET....AND I USE IT VERY WELL...

AND IF I DON'T KNOW PROGRAM IT...SIMPLE...I LEARN...I HAVE ALL MY LIFE TO LEARN HOW TO PROGRAM A SYNTHESIZER...

OTHER THING...

ALL OF MY GEAR IS A UNION OF MY STUFF AND MY PARTNER STUFF...I HAVE A NEW PROJECT THAT I'VE MADE IN A MONTH AND WE HAVE MAKE A MIX OF OUR GEARS....

MY SYNTHESIZERS IS THE VIRUS, ROLAND XP-60 AND ROLAND JP-8080....AND OF MY FRIEND IS NOVATION NOVA AND ROLAND JP-8000....

I DON'T BOUGHT THE JP-8000 AND JP-8080 BECAUSE I KNOW THAT BOTH ARE THE SAME THING, WITH ONLY SOME DIFFERENCES...

I'M A LITTLE BIT NEWBIE IN THE TECHNICAL PART OF THE PRODUCTION, BUT I'M NOT STUPID...

SO TAKE DOWN WITHOUT SAY A LOT OF THINGS WITHOUT KNOW...

THAT'S IT!

SORRY ABOUT MY BAD ENGLISH AND SORRY IF APPEARS THAT I'VE GOT ANGRY...I'M HERE JUST TO LEARN...ONLY FOR THAT...

WHATEVER, THANKS AT ALL...

BYE...

I think that what many were trying to say, is that it takes alot of work and practice to develop into a producer like Armin. He spent alot of time working on what became HIS SOUND. If you want to reproduce what Armin does, you're becoming the equivalent of a rock cover band.

You've got all this great gear, and you've got some playing talent (so you say, which I something I definitely don't have), so use it! Try to come up with your own sound. Play around with things to see what happens, and don't be afraid to suck (I sucked for YEARS). If you have specific questions, ask them instead of broad questions, as there are no easy answers to those questions.
