- They used a credit card that offers travel insurance.

People who bought tickets on the internet using credit cards without travel insurance may be out of luck, he said.

flying on jetsgo scared the hell out of me - would never do it again - even if they did not go out of business.....crikity and scary scary planes...

Yah, those things are Dinosaurs, and they use them on long haul international flights. They have not been refitted in the cabin, they have the worst International Service. NOTHING compared to BA, Qantas, or other top airlines. They have all of TWO airplanes that have up to date Executive Class/Economy. Two planes that only fly between Toronto and Hong Kong. The rest are old and I avoid flying anything overseas on Air Canada for that reason. Domestic is great I find, have no complaints so far.

Never fly in Canada.

Taxes, airport fees, GST, NAVCAN fees, Security fees. These add 30-50% to the list price of your ticket.

In the US its more like 5-15%

I think it's cheaper to fly from Toronto to London or maybe even Paris than to some places across Canada...
