It just has to be Morgan King - I'm Free (William Orbit mix) on Sasha's GU 9 - San Francisco. Most people will disagree though, and while I still consider this mix as one of my favourite ever I just cannot stand the track as I think it really destroys the whole deep melancholic atmosphere built up before, especially with Quivver's Everything's not you!

But maybe that's just me.

on Magik 6, Kamaya Painters - Cryptomnesia ruined that mix, the energy went from skyhigh with Viola ending, then dropped to nothing once he let Cryptomnesia roll. Albion remix of Endless Wave would have flowed so much better.

It's Kamaya Painters - Wasteland, actually, but I think it works well to bring the energy back down after the climax of Silence/Viola and sets the tone for the darker final portion of the mix.

I love that song, but I agree, it doesnt necessarily fit.

Overall, I generally enjoy involver.

total in agreeance with Tranc3, i have a love-hate relationship with that track on ALiVE CD1, it's kinda catchy, but i hate when it comes into the mix. it does make me look forward to the Dark & Long mashup that he mixes in next.

on Josh Wink's Profouns Sounds v2, Minimal Man - Make A Move, it sort of ruins the flow, sort of tanking it up for a bit. that track sounds way too repetitive, in the bad way, i think Josh could've used one of the remixes, or perhaps donde a better re-edit, or maybe just leave it on for less time, as it gets ato a point where you consider skipping ahead.
the track prior to it, Mindlab's Lick, is fucking excellent, despite being very minimalistic, and set a rather upbeat mood, sort of a groovy minimalism, which is a great way to open up for techno after the CD's initial chilled tech house intro tracks. going back to minimalism after it with 'Make a Move' i think is what's the problem with the mix, as it's otherwise a nice track. again, it does make you look forward to Oakish, which is mixed in next, and you always want to hear the mix, rather than skipping to it.

I've a different perspective on PvD's Politics. It was Sipping Soma's Superconscious that completely threw the flow of the mix out of whack for me. Also, Signum's In Progress on the second disc was a huge letdown after the anticipated payoff you'd expect following 4 Strings' Into The Night.

Another one:
ASOT2004
Fictivision vs Phynn - Escape

Oh, not because it's a bad song. On the contrary, it was far better than anything else on that first disc. And that's why it sticks out like a sore thumb -it's a total clash to all the other tracks that don't utilize the bottom end the same way Escape does.

Hmm... Can't think of any other ones off the top of my head. I'd have to dig out other mixes to find out, since the best ones tend to get more rotations than the not-as-good ones.
