It isnt logic, its my fucked up teenage beleifs.
People die all of the time, young people and old people. Its on the news all the time, but you grow immune to it, like "oh yeah, someone got shot, yeah thats a shame" In fact many times, I've heard unsavoury people on this forum smirk at an ironic, or funny death in the news, but when its children being eaten its all of the sudden "OH GOOD GAWD THEY COOKED AND ATE THEM GOOD GAWD THATS THE WORST THING IN MY LIFE I NEVER MY WORD I JUST CANT THOSE BASTARDS LETS ALL BOMB AFRICA"
My comment was not intended to be taken completly seriously, and I honestly think you realise that. On the otherhand it was not a "joke" As I do feel that its annoying that most people feel human lives are so much more valuable than others, and that we, being humans, must feel pain on so many more levels than other beings.
Like you said, "shellfish dont feel pain, but these are PEOPLE" And when you said that, you made it seem that boiling crabs alive a perfectly humane way to prepare a crab, and that these people being "HUMAN" made it just that much worse. And I asked you a question, if these humans were given a concoction that would make them feel no pain when being boiled (lets call it magic shellfishlike power drink!) would it make it less of a horrible doing? |
Dude, comparing shellfish to humans is absurd. If shellfish could comprehend things like, family, death, love, hate, grief, eternity, etc…and they cared about it 1/50th as much as humans do, and then you took their children and roasted them on a spit in front of their screaming parents and then ate them. YOU’RE RIGHT, it would be about as horrible.
But they don’t possess those feelings in their very limited range of emotions.
Shit, even arguing about shellfish vs humans like this is retarded…
