just got home. ugh

Nick Warren played some of the best shit ive heard in a while. there was one tune, sounded like a remixed industrial song, and I loved it.

Nu NRG well..good music, but ive never heard a live PA trainwreck until now. guess theres always something new

Armin..wow! the first 2.5 hours were amazing. I though he was on track for a best set evAr, but then he got harder and techy and it went downhill from there for me.

tried to check out Cox once w/ Kurfew(@5 am) only to be met with a wall of people @ guv. Returned back to the packed KH, where I met the most New TAs ive met in a long time.
Finally met Vividboy, Met BoyTrance and Lilpoonzgirl as well. good times.

and now im smelly verry smelly, mostly like cigarettes(ick)

KH was the most packed ive ever seen it, but I thought the crowd was the best for busy nights. I found most people to be pleasant and not too pushy at all...which is super odd, its usually the opposite @ Guv/KH

I made it over to see cox finally, he dropped flashdance, it was great, and then I left back to armin. He was getting trancier but my legs and feet had had it. I left around 6:45
good party. Miami is in for a treat @WMC

My fuckin ears.....!!!!

Actually, the sound in the KH had to have been the BEST its ever been, up until after Armin got on. Of course, I forgot my ear plugs, but it didn't matter until later.

Caught Nathan Barrato- nice beats to get the party started. Remy came on- decent set, hoped to hear something harder, or his big tune, but it didn't happen. Dunno when Nick Warren came on (I was at the TA meetup in the back), but his set was the winner for me. Nu-NRG- great to see those guys as always, they played really hard this time! Then Armin- 1st hour was loads of stuff I mostly hadn't heard b4. I decided to go check out Cox. That's where the sound got bad (but I was expecting it there). Was right in front for Cox. Nice to see him on the mike at times. Heard him drop "Just Kick" and some mix of "Good Life", "Flashdance" & "7 Nation Army". Song transitions were brief, but some good showmanship in other areas. Had to switch a CD-DJ mid-set cuz the dripping ceiling water had ruined it. Then back to Armin, where I thought I'd hear some nice chill tunes, after my legs were destroyed by Cox. Wrong! At this point, Armin was in his bangin' stage, and to make it worse, the sound was a million times louder in the KH now, than from earlier in the evening. Killed my ears even worse. Walked around, saw loads of faces, then got a call from Graham who was already outside waiting for me. Left at 7. I'm sure he's still playing now.

BTW, Nick Warren hung out behind Armin & the stage the entire rest of the party. How cool is that?

Met loads of new TA's & saw lots of old ones . Saw my Ann Arbor posse! And best of all- Erica's return to TO, altho our sightings were brief.

To the poser wearing the home-made t-shirt w/plain black block letters on a white shirt:
"TRANCE
ADDICT"
who blew me off when I tried to make introductions..... bad move, buddy! You're lucky me & the state of Michigan didn't come and whoop your ass right then and there.

Resting up for the Radio 1 transmission later today. We can be there in spirit at least, right??

If Armin was god, then I don't even know how to describe Cox. What an amazing night.

Got there at around 10:30, and got in by 11. The koolhaus line moved smooth, and we got in farily quickly. The frisking lady sacked Clublifexxx hard accidentally, lol.

Came in to the sounds of Nathan Barrato. He was pretty good, awesome for an opening dj. Remy spun an awesome set too, and it was awesome meeting all you TranceAddicts in the seating area. I pretty much chilled in Koolhaus for most of the night, until 3:30 when Cox was supposed to go on. I was chilling with The HighRoller on the patio, and we headed in just before he went on. Waiting at the bar for a drink for like 20 minutes, and I swear I seen Cox's twin standing beside me. I was like "Holy shit its" when I was cutoff with "I'm Not Carl Cox". Listend to Cox spin for like 30 minutes, and from there it was just bouncing between the main room and Koolhaus.

Personal records set:
First time at an afterhours nightclub in Toronto
First time dropping E
Best birthday party ever

I gotta rate the night a solid 8.5-9/10. Only thing that kept it from getting perfect was that I couldn't be everywhere at once.

I took a ton of pictures and videos, and Ill be sure to post them up when I get them on my website.

WOW!! God damn....that was one of the best nights out I've had in a very long time. Nick Warren sounded good, but I really fell in love with Nu-NRG. This was my first time seeing these guys and I loved every second of it. Everyone seems to agree that Armin was at his best for the first couple of hours and then he got a bit too techy for me, but it didn't last long. He never disappoints me.

Aside from the music though, I just thought the crowd was over the top incredible. Everyone was friendly. Nobody elbowed me as they were walking past. It was like the good old days!! Plus I met up with Nat and then met a whole whack of TA's (I remember Arctic Boy but everyone elses names elude me just now) which was great. TOTA's DO know how to have a good time.

Overall - great show. Now it's off to bed to rest up for Montreal!!
Obe

Irish word for fun/enjoyment that has been brought into the English language, usually when mixed with alcohol and/or music. General banter, good times had by all. Also, a person who is good fun/great company.
Note: Very tricky to get away with saying this in the US without getting strange looks from police officers.

9:07am and I just got home.

Wow.

Just... Wow.

Time to die now.

And by "die" I mean "sleep till 8pm."

{edit} I will say this: the night's highlight was when Armin dropped Yahel feat. A-Force - Behind Silence (Liquid Love). Best moment ever.
