Ya, but you wrote your comment 15 minutes after he died bro. If you wrote it before or maybe a bit later, maybe he wouldnt have reacted the same way.

Dude, you need to seriously lighten up. I thought my little rant was transparent enough. Apparently, I have to use /sarcasm labels with you from now on. Do me a favour, and reread my passage with the above in mind, and hopefully you'll catch my message. And for future reference, watch your fuckin' mouth next time.

Dude! Sarcasm or not, I'm still sticking to my comment. I have not the slightest problem with whatever religion you may be, whatever you choose to believe in.. But my problem is that you are actually able to post a stupid comment like that when half the world is mourning for the death of this man who has done so much. The least you could do is show some respect on the day of his death.

First of all, when I wrote my message, I was under the impression he was not yet dead. Furthermore, regardless of temporal matters here, my little rant was a POSITIVE message with regards to this pope. In my own cynical and sarcastic way, the message I was trying to convey was that this pope and the catholic church actually did many positive things, for ONCE in their history, when it came to apologizing for past "sins" that they rightfully needed to apologize for, when it came to trying to unite people rather than divide people and so forth, as opposed to previous pontifs who self-righteously proclaimed a monopoly on truth based on Catholic dogma. I thought you (Kane and yourself) would have been perceptive enough to discern this, seeing as you've been on the board long enough to understand my humour. The last thing I expected was your above comments.

Dude, my dad is Roman Catholic and I was raised Roman Catholic. You shouln't have a problem with what I wrote if you were percpetive enough to understand the message I was trying to convey. See my above post to Wisnia.

Fair enough... I just feel that the sarcasm was a little extreme for such a sensitive topic.. I'm known to be sarcastic as well but I wouldn't be able to make any sarcastic comments on a day like today especially concerning the death of the pope.

Listen, I understand that some people are so distraught by his death that they can't possibly see humour as a means to escape their sorrow. I'm not one of those people. We all grieve in our different ways, and as long as you understand that my original post was NOT meant in a disrespectful manner towards the pope (quite the contrary actually) you should allow me to grieve in my own way without the superfluous moralizing.

Seriously, I'm very disappoited with this pope. This pope, in simpleton terms, was a pussy. Pardon this, excuse me that, sorry about your cat being stuck in a tree. He must have apologized to every ethnicity/race/people out there for past "sins" of the Catholic church. What happened to the good old days when Catholic dogma ruled the world, when the church's word was absolute truth, when defiance meant eternal hell and damnation, when religious wars were fought in the name of Christ almighty, when millions of people died at the hand of the invading Christian hordes because they dared stand in the path of Christian salvation. I hope the next pope comes with a set of balls

k that goes far enough man, i dont care whether your jewish, muslim

or orthodox, comments like that are full of sh*t. If your not happy

with the catholic church then do something about, and stop using

sarcasim to put forth your message cause it aint cutting it. a

little bit of respect for POPE JOHN PAUL II, a true pope

FF's sake, I've already explained myself well enough in my previous posts dammit. If you don't understand my point, then kindly shut the fuck up and stop perpetuating your ignorance and your lack of comprehension. I wouldn't use such harsh language with you but I'm simply returning the favour

FOR THE RECORD, in case people still have questions with regards to my original post: I LIKE THIS POPE. The catholic church has an atrocious history and an abominable past with regards to many things. Previous pontifs have abused their power and their position, and have waged wars of attrition, amongst other things, in the name of religion. THIS POPE, on the contrary, has gone out of his way to mend fences with different religions and ethnicities (the Greek orthodox, the Jews etc), taken the high road with regards to many political conflicts (Israel-Palestine comes to mind), and has tried to perpetuate a message of peace and love to all people. I RESPECT THAT AND I RESPECT HIM. Now reread my original post with the above in mind, keeping in mind that while I said what I said, I said it with TONGUE FIRMLY IN CHEEK, and you'll recover this exact message that I just typed in my original post

lack of comprehension and ignorance, i laugh at that

:haha

of course we all had history classes that taught us about the

catholic church, but in the 21st century its really a symbolic thing

for most catholic goers

the line shouldn't be crossed, especially today and for the the next

couple of weeks

RIP POPE JOHN PAUL II
