i can see the way ur going with this, and thats a valid point. but it doesnt change the fact that i dont believe god exists currently and dont believe i ever will... i mean if something happens that somehow confirms he/she/it does...

but also, would the idea of air being explained to someone at a point when air coudlnt be "proven" to exist sound completely ludicrous? bc i personally find the notion of a god ludicrous and ridiculous

I tend to be more disagreeable w/ idea of religion and whut often happens in its name than i am w/ the notion of god

the zealots drive me INSANE... i was down in the Rally/Durham area visting my best friend a couple years ago... i find how hardcore they are down there and how racist and often the stuff they profess in the name of their religion offensive and shocking and outrageous... thats not everyone of course, just an example of whut i dont like in particular!

i was staying staying w/ my buddy and his then soon-to-be wife... i was down there 2-3 weeks. i would never go to church w/ them on wed. night and sunday mornings tho. this prompted missy's (my buddys wife) mother to ask why id never come... and when she found out i was an atheist... lets just say i wasnt really welcome on her moms property anymore. even missy who is very religious really didnt like nolan hanging around an atheist. we came very close to not staying in touch when he moved down there bc of his wife... but me and missy have an understanding w/ eachother now and theres no more tension.

Missy's sister Amy is gay... down in NC many or most of the schools are run by chruches (not the state or guvernment) and she was kicked out of two schools for being gay once they found out.

being gay and livin in NC has been very hard for amy in general. pretty much a vast majority of the population there is against you. its NO WHERE NEAR as liberal as TO is w/ the matter (its a fuckn joke!)
