Meh, so his set sounded a little housey (or techy, which is how it sounded at decadence), that doesnt mean its his "genre."
Its up to the djs to spin what they want. I don't care what ANYONE says, DJ's are there to play whats popular, not what they want. It doesnt have to be a popular track, it just has to be a popular style. If a dj played freaking polka, you think many of us would go see him spin? in toronto, this hard bangin music is what is popular, so expect it to be the majority over here. You want epic? go where its popular.
I apologize if I come off sounding rude, but its just the way things are. A DJ is not going to spin something that isn't popular, because no one is going to go to their next show, their managers wont find them another show to book, and later on, albums wont sell. its not good business.
