You should check out Detroit, much worse. |
i dont even consider detroit to be a city. Just a bunch of farmtowns that surround a huge crater.

Detroit
I used to live in Leamington ( near Windsor ), Ontario; and Detroit is the biggest, most discusting slum I have ever seen. I have lived in Washington D.C. for 4 years, and at least the west half of that city is somewhat decent, and they dont have block after block of burnt down houses.
Only pathetic, self pitying, drug atticted waste of life would let their surroundings detiorate to what I've seen there. While there is poverty in Canada, at least people still have self respect.
Personally, I think alot of people in the guetto deserve to be there, because they're a bunch of drug addicted, crack heads, who try to victomize people who try to succeed.

Toronto
Toronto has done an awesome job keeping its downtown reasonably safe and clean. While the politicians may not be perfect, they are a hell lot better than city leadership in Detroit & D.C. ( which both had crack head, corrupted, former mayors ), and Baltimore. I really can't comment about Buffalo because I've never been there. Also in most Canadian cities I've been in there seems to be alot of community pride, where the streets are clean, and you see real manicured lawns, trees, and hedges; instead of run down weed infested lots and gang graffiti. Also, at least in D.C., most working people can't afford to live in a decent neighbourhood. If it wasn't for my current employment, I probably would move to Toronto.

What do you expect in Buffalo, a smaller version of Toronto?
It's an old city that went downhill when industrialized/factory jobs all moved overseas. The people are friendly and nice, great arts and entertainment, great restaurants.. there's more to Buffalo than the Galleria mall and run down buildings.. but most people never bother to look for it.
