n0bben bastard listen, you dare insulting someone who is listening to electronic music( no i dont pull rap,hip-hop into the electronic genre) ) on a trance board? you can stick your fucking rap,hip-hop music right up your ass and piss off ...rap,hip-hop listeners are not welcome here !!!!!
And let me guess, you complain about people saying trance "sounds all the same" and "trance is stupid noise"? Hypocrite.
strangely enough I got into electronic music through hip hop break beats and instumentals and the like...but back to the topic....pick up some Pharoahe Monch, Blackstar....its Talib Kweli and Mos Def as a group theres some good stuff there...if you look hard enough some more popular rappers put out good concious songs...."It Was A Good Day" by Ice Cube "Dear Mama" by 2Pac and "The Foundation" by Xzibit come to mind

Good to see some people believe there is some good in this genre...although most anything you hear on the radio or MTV would give you the impression there isn't any
Wu Tang, Run DMC, Mos Def, The Roots, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Cypress Hill, Rahzel.

Immortal Technique is awesome. Music labels today only want candy rap that makes u stupid just listening to it. Rappers with harsh lyrics about reality don't even get signed. Rap is going through its bad period right now.

obviously you've heard little to none of this type of music. This genre can be very deep and spiritual. Don't put your negative two cents in a thread that is obviously pro hip-hop. At least give a decent explanation for your feelings. I mean damn dude work with me here.
and as for the person who started this thread...I personally like Tupacs stuff. It maybe a little to "gansta rappish" for you, but it suits my fancy. Check some of his stuff out if you haven't already.

Haven't seen anyone mention Gangstarr yet..
Most of his stuff is pretty old though (late 80s early 90s).
Some of his more recent stuff (Moment of Truth) is pretty good.

Yea Technique is definitely good, my only problem about him is that many of his tracks sounds the same (same f the government, f the lables, etc etc etc) but he's worth a listen.
I don't listen to much mainstream hiphop now but back in the day Notorious BIG, Tu-Pac, Wu-Tang, IceCube, Snoop were all really good, check some of their earily 90's stuff out.
Personally one of my favorite songs is Nas - One Mic. That song is deep. And it was made back in 2000-01 iirc.
