my cats 12. he's had a couple health scares. he used to go outside all the time. one night, my neighbor comes to my house with my cat in his arms and blood all over. he had been attacked by some animal and had a huge gash in his neck. dogs like to go for the neck so maybe it was a dog. but he was meowing a lot and licking himself(feline comfort behavior). he had blood all over his fur. so we took him to the vet, they sutured his wound and stitched it and he had this funny con around his neck for a week. luckily he fully recovered.
another time, he got fleas, and that was hell for me, my house, and the cat. the fleas are dead, and he no longer is allowed to go outside. another time, he had a dry cyst the size of a nickel in his skin. it got so big, that is started to poke out of his skin. so i squeezed it and it came out. little blood, not much and really it was just a pouch in his skin. i thought i might see his insides or something. unfortunately, when he had fleas, they used the patch as a safe haven. and i still have to clean the area because dirt like litter dust still gets in that little hole.
