anyway to the thread starter, read up on production from wherever you can, soak knowledge up like a sponge, practice practice practise, and if you have a feel for it, you will figure out how to get a sound that will touch people.

But it will take a while.

man...everytime i forgot why i don't start threads, i am reminded by ignorant people. Anyways, on the topic of this thread, maelstrom would probably be your best bet, but the best sounds i have created with reason are by playing with knobs, combining synths, and just fuck'n around.
Just play around with it, you'll come up with some good stuff in no time.
