I saw tiesto last week and he was really really bad. I heard him in Ibiza late last year and his set was awesome, great track selection and aside from a dodgy cd that kept skipping his mixing was pretty good.
This time he was shocking, track selection didnt flow and the tracks themselves didnt flow because of the utter shite mixing. And why does tiesto take his own mixer and decks along? The ones provided were fine for all the other big name DJs...
I'm just talking crap now but the point i'm getting too is basically agreeing that no one would play a pre recorded CD that was that bad. |
Tiesto plays music to suit the mood. His poor sets are on commercial events when people want to hear the music they recognise.
I've seen him play at Cream when he doesnt have to conform to anything and he was fantastic. He was the last of the major DJ's that i hadnt seen, and hands down he was better than them all. PVD, Oakie, Armin van Buuren, Jules, Sasha, John 00 etc. etc., the lot.
