Yeah IB has a very broad range of subjects, but you're gonna be limited to the ones they teach at your school.

i did it, got 32 w/o even trying haha. like others said its useless in many places in the US except for uni. of california schools. thanks to IB (and other stuff) i hauled in 60 units.

it was a lot of fun though. it rounded me out well i think

took it for 6 monthes before dropping out of it. heres why, after one semester, i was fed up and burnt out. it took over my life. i was doing homework all the time, even on the weekends, with barely any time to myself. and the rewards dont even come close to supplementing the disadvantages to it. so i entered dual-enrollment instead and had it much easier, and i could enjoy my life more.

u basically waste away your youth doing shit u dont care about but have to do. dont do it. dual-enrollment courses or AP.

it all depends on what you plan on going into and what the school offers

my bf was in it but he dropped out cuz he thought it was a waste of time.

Another reason why you don't need IB: You need just enough credits to get some of BS intro classes out of the way so you can afford to have some flexibility to take cool classes or in the event that you fuckup in college. What are you trying to do, graduate in 3 years??? Now why the hell would you want to cut your college experience by 25%? So you can gain a whopping 2% longevity for your career (assuming you even retire at 65)? Only in the event that you face serious financial troubles should that even be an option (or you're the type of person who doesn't have fun in college ). And by financial troubles I mean you can't get decent student loans. Hell most student loans only charge 3-4% interest when you lock them in. That's essentially free money! You can earn a higher rate of return by taking that loan, pay the minimum amount due each month, and invest it wisely in a good hedge fund or money market account.

i'm currently doing ib programme....it's quite a bit of work, but it is mangable after all if you're not stupid, only subject im having a little trouble with is higher level chemistry. the rest are ok though. the programme itself is good i guess, but the useless shit you have to do like community service (CAS) which is 150 hours and stuff like group 4 project and extended essay is just gay and a waste of time.

what's worse than ib?

the holocaust
