Everyone has a different system, no one medication will work the same way on someone as it does on someone else. So it usually tends to be on a case to case basis. Some meds will cause side effects for some people, some will cause dependancy and so on. I mean coming from someone who's done their share
Zoloft was way too strong for me. I mean I the feeling of well being was literally instantanously, only bad thing was the side effects were felt immediately. To the point where I myself took the initiative to get off of them the first week, b/c the nauseating feeling, along with the dizzyness, wasn't what I call a better well being oh yea and the case of the shits it gives you def. not cool, [sorry for being so graphic]especially when it tends to refrain you from hunger.
Paxil works in a more gradual form. Meaning you don't feel the side effects right there and then. Could take anywhere from 3 weeks to 3months at a point. I was on it for about 3 months, not bad, no side effects, so atleast for me this is a personal +++
Paxil CR. is pretty much the samething as regular paxil, with the same side effects, except it tends to be prescribed for those who suffer from anxiety attacks and then some. Between both paxils I will say that I never had an issue coming off of them or side effects as well.
Now I'm on something called lexapro, which tends to be lower in mg. and lighter then most anti-depressants. The effects tend to work gradual, I've had no major side effects while being on this, with the exception of a little bit of insomnia, but that could be caused by something else..Lol..so I'm not going to blame it entirely on the med. Going on 7months now so that's def. a good thing. And when coming off of them I can do it at anytime without going into a state of a panic attack, or major mood swing dilema for not taking them. I usually tend to take it for one month straight or half a month and lay off of it completely (It is highly advised never to do this.)until I start feeling gloomy!Which takes a while.
