sp is crappier build... and from what i heard, the sound isn't as good, though i haven't tried it so i can' so for sure. also, the sp's are given away for free when u ride concorde's thats why if u go to ebay, u'll see them listed as hd-25sp concorde..

Niice how'd u pull that off?

I use stanton dj pro 3000's they have broken 3 times, finally got a replacement though and they are redesigned and reinforced so i am pretty happy with them. great sound quality

friend has sony mv700's or whatever i really like the way they pump bass but i hear they break alot (not that im not used to that anyway)

i geuss i dont really have a recommendation. maybe these never heard of this company but they look nice.

i bought the audio-technica m40-fs, cuz i like them more than the sonys and others i tried and its cheaper
http://www.zzounds.com/item--AUTATHM40FS
I use them for producing but they are good for mixing too, the ears swivel and are built strong, dropped them many times and still good.
got it for about 85 bux a while ago but @ zzounds they are $69 now

I've used the MDR-V6, 700, 7506, Pioneer, and the best one I've come to is the MDR-900. You can barely turn them up and they're loud as hell. They cover your ear completely and you can wear them for long periods of time without hurting your ears. I totally recommend them, as far as producing goes and you need a solid pair I would get the beyerdynamic DT770. You haven't heard true sound till you put one of those mofos on .

Earbuds or headset?

Earbuds I say go with some fontopia's by sony

or Shure E2C's so good

Now for lee:

Sony MDR7506. Longest lasting cans in the pro audio world apart from some AKG's which aren't suitable for djing.

These Sony's can take a beating because they have metal brace but there's also the advantage that 99% of the part can be replaced but all you'll ever really need to replace would be earpads which isn't much compard to the other "dj" sony cans with plastic braces.
