the oliver lieb remix was pretty good. that's part of what oliver lieb does: takes cheesy trance and makes it somewhat listenable trance. well in this case a...whatever SES is...but the most annoying part of his remixes of cheesy trance is that he leaves the long breakdowns in...bah.

For a song that is in the same genre as artists like Britney Spears and other artists of equal or lesser talent it was a good song. There isn't that much good pop out these days so as far as pop goes it was a very good song.

To each their own though.

Ughh, some of Ferry's worst work there. I didn't like any of the remixes, they kill the emotion of the original.

I was worried I'd be the only one who thought it was a shit remix.

Completely...just like Tiesto ruined "We are all made of Stars" and Timo Maas made it into a killer tune.

saw him live in Philly about a month ago - that was my reaction. 90% of the show was rock. some of his "old" choons were badly mutilated into rock-pieces and after that "Natural blues" was turned into proverbial - unnatural blues. Imagine Natural blues slowed down to like 60BPM, mostly vocal piece.

...but the most disturbing thing was - the lead singer (lady) was preggers and visibly so! (like in her 6 or 7 months). I dunno - the whole show had a very weird feel to it. Place was full of 40-something (or 50-something) couples and I just felt suffocated. I left very disapointed and lost any remaining hope for Moby.

I became a huge fan after seeing him spin at the Ultraworld rave in 1999 in DC and Ferry Corsten's remix of "Why does my heart". After I saw him play live at Area:1 - I became a hard-core Moby addict and even bought a synth. Area:2 was great too, but not as good. Then, "18" came out and I was barely at my last drop of patience - waiting for something to happen. Then, I bought "Vodo Child - Baby Monkey" CD (which is one one of Moby's "EDM" side projects) and hooooly crap!!!! that was a double-eject material! (eject once from CD Player, eject for the second time from the car window).

THE ALBUM IS UNLISTENABLE! I can't believe I paid $18 for that rubbish!

So, with a fainting glimpse of hope I ventured to see Moby at a concert - and nailed the final nail in the coffin of my days of being a Moby fan. It was a good run while it lasted but looks like Moby first decided to totally dismiss his EDM fan, closed the club and turned back to his punk/vegan rock roots.

Sigh...

I stumbled over the Move EP recently in a thrift store (odd place to find it) and was totally blown away. From 1993, it's Moby's best by far of what I've heard, a sophisticated blend of early techno-trance-rave.
