I HATE Petro Canada as well. Had an extremely BAD experience with them and wrote a letter to the head office. Got absolutely nothing in return. I've taken my business elsewhere....

The point is that its NOT the law. Its just a bunch of idiots that dont know what they are doing. So take your little crusade elsewhere. If you dont want to smoke thats great but other people are allowed to make adult choices.

man, ur so off topic. the point of this whole discussion is that passports are a legal and international form of ID and can be used in any country to identify yourself.

You are either missing the point or maybe don't know the rules of "our sandbox" either?. According to Canadian law (link), passports are a legal way of showing your age regardless if it's a Canadian passport or not. The person working at Petro Canada was ignorant to this and refused to accept it as ID.
