what an awesome night!
deep dish came right out with some awesome minimal stuff that definately got me going. loved the first 2 hours. i think the crowd was a bit shocked...they thought it was gonna be a lot more housey. eventually they got to some more housey tunes which gave us a chance to have a few drinks and go for a stroll. the last 2 hours they banged out the deep house/prog tunes. how fkn good was the enrgy up the front!!
was good hanging out with kel and paulie_c, where any other ta's there!?
they played quiet a bit of deep house to progressive tunes. couldnt recognise much of the tribalish stuff.im more familiar with the prog trance but here are a few tracks off the top of my head
-(vocals saying 'Give me one more day' deep dish production?)
-Deep Dish - Say Hello (Chus & Ceballos Remix)
-Timo Maas - First Day (Buick Project Dub)
-Deep Dish - Flasdance Vs. Deep Dish - Money For Nothing
CHEESE BREAK
-(Vocals 'Dont leave me...stay away from me' with melody from lightscape - join me, but a house edit)
-Timo Maas - Der Shieber with julie knight 'dont give it up OR home' vocals
-Erick E - Ya Dont Stop (some remix - more punchy)
-Dj Rooster and Sammy Peralta - Shake It (Steve Angello S Remode Mix)
-Chemical Brothers - Believe
-Steve Angello - Wear It Out
-Buick Project (aka Skylark) - At The Rave
-David Guetta Tim Deluxe Bob Sinclar Joachim Garraud - Summer moon_(fmif_remix)
-Deep Dish - Say Hello (Angello and Ingrosso Remix)
-Gian - Pump Up The Jam
-Paul Van Dyk - The Other Side (Deep Dish Remix) TUNE OF THE NIGHT!!
good to see them play there new remix of pvd's other side...was waiting all night for it..

Massive night, had a ball Being a Metro virgin I wasn't 100% sure what to expect sound or crowd wise but both were great.. Was well worth the last minute rush around for tickets!
Not much more to add.. Nik's review pretty much covers it all

This is one good track. Looks like they were playing a lot of Fanciulli stuff, which would make for a good night all the time. when you talk of minimal tracks are you talking about tribal drums along with rolling electronic synths over top? When they get into that stuff the party can get just nasty good, and if they were breaking out that, then I'm sure you guys got a better show from them than we did a couple weeks ago.

Still yet to read a bad review of their Metro gig (reasonable lack of cheese, from the looks of it!), so looking forward to this Thursday now. Anyone else gonna pop down?
