When I went to Dachau Germany they had some footage of the bodies all mounted up which were pretty much buried underneath where I was standing.

Something like 1.3 million bodies are buried under Dachau...

wouldn't say gross but disturbing..

pics of the after effects of the tsunami (kids and all)

video footage of mauthausen concentration camp during WWII. i was there last year and literally had chills as i walked around the grounds.

video footage of people jumping out of the twin towers and falling to their deaths.

...

gross would be ***********

u know wat is gross how u learn to associate smells with things
people dying of cancer have a certain smell about them, terrible but its called the death smell

when someone gets burnt they have a certain smell about them ect

u can learn to push certain things in the back of your mind but for some reason u never ever forget that smell

probably the single most poignant experiences i had whilst in europe. we watched a documentary about the camp during the war, and then had our own time to explore.

there are memorials and tributes to those lost, missing, and to those who served during the war and/or help liberate the camp.

the stairs of death are still there, though i didn't have time to get close to it. saw it from a distance. even from afar it was enough.

quote:
Prisoners were forced to climb the 186 steps of the Wiener Graben with large blocks of granite on their backs. Often the blocks would fall, crushing limbs and bodies of those following, sometimes killing. The SS guards invented competitions betting on which prisoner would make it to the top first. Those surviving the ordeal would then be forced to jump from the edge of the quarry to their death below. This particular spot at the edge of the quarry was known “The Parachute Jump”.

info here and here.

My experience of Dachau was made less memorable by School Kids running around laughing that were obviously "made" to go by the German Government.

Still scary to see the Gas Chambers and the Cremetorium where they burned the bodies though...

Something that must be experienced however imo.

I thought I has seen alot of bad stuff, but reading this thread its clear I really haven't.

I'm in two minds as to if I want to find these things, like it was said earlier, can't keep ones head in the sand about what goes on in the world we live in.

the grossest thing I have never seen (I didnt want to spend money on years of therapy to repair the damage) was once when a weird guy I met online asked if I could host a video file for him on my server, then I asked him what it was. He said its a awesome video(his words) of a guy, hammering a nail thru each testicle, then proceeding to masturbate and ejaculate blood. I deleted the file instantly (before curiosity had a chance to creep in).

I havent spoken to him since.
