Geez they still release old tracker music??
If you're trying to go for a trance release in this day of age, then yes it is poorly produced.. If you're making music releases for old mod-tracker geeks, then it's cool.
yeah you need a real kick if you want it to sound good for today.. try layering a higher end kick ontop of what you have, and make sure you filter propperly... the the resonance on that little hooveresque sound is quite annoying might wanna turn it down...
and the melody is so cheeeeeesey... The lack of percussion like MK-S stated, adds to the cheeseyness... and if you do add some good beefy percs it'll start sounding like a pro trance production and not like a fasttracker competition entry. It sounds like you're trying to achieve a happy trance sound like Cosmicman... It you havent heard of Cosmicman or Sundawner, you should check him out and try to make a track more in that ballpark. It's happy, silly trance music, but excellent production and totally danceable.
Seriously, I don't know what kind of candy those ravers who signed your tune are on... This is perfectly fine for a MOD tracker competition, but not for vynil release.
