Established proffecionals like you need high end gear.
But you have to understand that It is aimed on young ,budding ,aspiring dj
not seasoned pros like yourself.
therefore a comparison with high end equipment is utopic, as you can see.
Somebody was comparing an enry level controler with the 600$
technics mk5 which is one of the best , if not the best , turntable
out there .
my friend who is a local dj said that his 14year old sister bought it and she is currently
learning to mix on it.
He, having tried the unit himself ,said he could keep the tracks in synch
because the pitch resolution of tractor is very acurrate.
Nothing high end about a 150$ software controller ,daaaa!!!
The basics though are all there and its better than a mouse.
Have you ever seen a picture of the unit carl cox learned djing on??
It proves that its not the gear you have its how you use it.
You idiots are comparing it with your 2000$ setups.
Its as utopic as comparing a 200$ maudio midi controller with
the latest roland or as comparing a 20.000 digital mixing board with a
lil 4track.
If somebody said he wanted to get into production
and buy fruity loops with a 50$ midi controler
would you suggest a protools HD with 2 powermacs G5 and a 36
channel controller instead?
I guess you would...now wouldn't you timmy?
I am now unsubscribing for this thread knowing for sure
that you people will always be sheep ...sheep with headphones!! |
Unsubscribe away, I couldn't care less. In fact, just stop posting all together because all you seem to be able to offer is alot of uninformed drivel (see the PVD SSL thread).
As for you being sarcastic about it being the best piece of gear:

Damn, I can see the sarcasm all over that post..... oh wait, no I can't.
No one ever compared the POS Behringer to our $2000 set-ups b/c we don't need to. Anyone that's been on this board for any length of time knows behringer products suck hands down. And what's so wrong with recommending that newbies save their money for quality equipment rather than throwing it away buying shoddily built stuff that they'll need to replace in year (you ever wonder why it has a $150 price tag on it)?? I'm not telling them to save up for a Xone:92 and some m5g's, but there is much better equipment to be had (used techs and a PCV-275 for instance) if you save up some more rather than throwing your money away on this piece of junk.
You really need to sort yourself out though. You post on here like you have this uber l33t DJ knowledge and in all reality you come off sounding like a clueless n00b and a Behringer sheep. Posting like you're the dogs bollocks authority on everything is not going to fly very long around here (anyone remember what happened to DJ Coleman??).
