This is my myopic view on this:
Tiësto In Concert is an event that sells. Tickets sell fast. This is given.
It's good that Tiësto has decided to bring a little something of that TiC experience to the US of A. It doesn’t matter if it’s a 4 hour event. If you happen to think that is too expensive, simply don’t go. The important point here, that many seem to be ignoring, is the fact that for the first time people will have a chance to experience this show without having to fly overseas. The mountain comes to you. Of course it will not be the same as the 8 hour concert. It would be a taste of what the original is like, a taste that many are looking forward to.
Today people have various options when it comes to hearing the music we love. That’s all good. Trance is growing. You can go to your friend’s house to hear him/her play while drinking, go to the nearest favorite club to hear your favorite DJ while dancing with the people that love the same music you do, or go to a bigger event, in this case Tiësto In Concert, to experience something magikal. You have choices. That’s what makes this music great. More chances than we had before.
If “something” is in demand, it is very likely that the price for that “something” will be high. Some people will think that “something” is worth it. So don’t ruin it for them.
It’s about the music. Just experience, listen and love it.
