But what I most do not like about Paul Van Dyk is his fucked up attitude toward the crowd and other DJ's. |
Agreed. PvD is my number 1 for productions, and his setlists are usually quite good, but he just lacks any emotion from what I've seen. He seems so moody and miserable. Does he not get along with any DJs at all, and he is just bitter about not being number 1?
I am however, mesmorised by Tiesto's performance in the TIC 2 DVD. He's an absolute genius at crowd interaction and is mixing wasn't at all bad either! People saying he went downhill from 2000, I just think is tripe. Sure, he may not have been playing well recently, but I think alot of it is down to taste and style of DJing. Just because I don't like Zabiela's obsession with technical ability, doesn't mean he's a bad DJ.
For DJs being moody, they surely must have off days like the rest of us. It's their job to DJ, not a party. I think sometimes people forget that when they turn up stoned out their heads to ask for an autograph.
I'd be offended if someone came up with their own record and asked me to play it (unless I wanted to). It's in effect saying "I think what you're playing tonight is cr*p, play this instead".

Social outcasts are often of the opinion that they must have a drink before being able to loosen up with their inhibitions, thus being able to have a good time.
There's a word that sums up this sort of behaviour, and that word is 'reject.' |
