This is 1 party I shouldn't have missed but due to my unstable schedule @ work, I was absent I can't believe the amount of remixes of his own, Steve played!

Pros: Good tunes, good vibe, great company. Daft Punk - Around the World
Cons: Angello's mixing was a bit off at times. A few of the tunes were a bit cheesy for me. That was tolerable. The guys in the booth got pretty annoying. It wasn't the flashlight that bothered me, it was giving people in the crowd the finger, yelling, "put up your fucking hands right now mother******s!" every second song, giving "blowjob" motions (making a fist, moving it toward your mouth and pushing your tongue against your cheek) at the crowd and generally acting like asses.

Sounds like another GREAT Boa night, glad everyone loved it.
Big fan of Angello here....

But i HATE most remixes of rock 'n roll.
Sure there's the odd wikkid remix, but
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad i've never heard:

I would just like to add that I thought the opener was much better than Angello. I really enjoyed the jazzy tunes. It is not something I get to hear often. Great show!

oh yeah? I can agree with you on a technical level, but overall I'd put my jelly beans with Angello.

The fact that 50% of the tracks he played were probably his own (plus or minus Ingross/Prydz), and the other half being anthems or classics. Awesome.

Ultra new mixed with tried and tested... great combo. Not to mention the influence he (and colleagues) have had on our scene today. They are changing shit up bro.

Subliminal is totally changing house music man. These guys are always fucking ridiculous everytime I see them. Every single one of them plays the crazyest tracks... and HUGE chunck of them are their remixes or their songs. I won't deny there are tons of other amazing DJ's out there. For instance the way that Steve Lawler is going... his new tribal techy/electro sound is pure fuckin gold. There is NO ONE who sounds like him. His essential was just unreal. I have to agree with someone who said this in another post that will for sure be the essential mix of the year. If someone wants to top them they have their work cut out!!

I just like the way electronic music is going in general. It seems more people are having an appreciation for real music and none of this crappy bullshit coming out. I like all music but it's gotta have some depth or soul to it or i won't even bother wasting my time listening to that noise. lol anyways my point is Subliminal is definately one of my favourite record labels and they are pushing hard to change shit up and are doing a damn good job of it! Steve Angello proved this all to us at BOA as did Harry choo choo at guv for G2! I know that will not be the last of them or subliminal we see here in TO!
