Plastic Fantastic still rules for me (corvette) , although if Money were no object then any of the euro exotics would do--Im not picky if someone wants to donate one

Don't Porsche's use a flat 6?

...And yes, the old Lotus Esprit was an inline-4 but I don't think it was a twin turbo. I believe it was a naturally aspirated engine producing 264 horsepower, which might seem measly but was still enough for a zero-60 time of last than 5 second.

Porsche, Ferrari, Corvette, NSX....They're all the same.

As Martin Lawrence put it in Bad Boys: "It's just a big shiny dick, and we just the two balls, just dragging the fuck along"

the 87-95 had an inline 4 with a turbo, the 96 had a v8 with twin turbos.

Which model?

I don't remember Porsche having too many V8's and I'm pretty sure there's never been a V8 911.

^^^ Lotus, not Porsche.

my bad using the wrong terminology "V6"...I know they use an inline 6...oops!

a co-worker here, 30-something woman, who I never figured to be uber cool about cars...floored me when we were talking the other day...she knows her shit.

I was mentioning that my last car, which I sold 1.5 years ago, was an old lightly modded '90 Talon AWD TSi...fun to drive, a bit of a maintenance nightmare though...she's a fan of keeping older "good" cars that are reasonably exlusive and said that she drives an '87...i asked what she drove...a 911! Now THAT is cool...how many people have an old 911 on the road in excellent condition...sweet!!!

H6. Boxer-six. Flat-six. Not inline-six. C'mon dude!

Oh, DSMs... "Diamond Star Motors: Turning ordinary people into mechanics since 1989."

^^^ fuk me...I'm quitting before I mess up any more engine configurations, lol.

and that is SO true about DSMs...I'm far from a mechanic...but between the vaccuum hose popping off, replacing cracked/burst coolant hose, dead thermostat, frayed wiring = no fans, gauges that would periodically die, mysterious knock at high speeds, etc. etc. etc. (in addition to the maintenance I could not do myself like ceazed brakes, dead headlamp motor, etc)...that car was *DRAMA*

but it f**king great when everything was actually working...AWD + boost = fun
