run memtest32 to check your ram. do you have any other AMD cpu you can stick in there to make sure it is not that? see if you can find some sort of "burn-in" test program that will stress the various componenets.

i dun really have any other amd cpu's or anything. thanks for the tip though.

Did you get a decent power supply? If the specs are low, you may run into problems.
