So, you've been dating this broad for a year but now she's going off to school out of town and you aren't going with her. I'd say don't do shit! Certainly don't buy her shit! If you think this relationship is going to last anymore then a few weeks possibly months once the two of you are not in the same proximity you are very naive. Why bother wasting your time and money on doing something special for someone who you'll likely be dumped by (or who you'll soon see all pissed drunk getting blasted in the ass by some other dude in an amature internet porn vid) within a month or two. I say save yourself the trouble and just break it off with her now.

Isn't there something you know she likes? Or anything you guys have done that she really enjoyed? Do that before the 19th as a celebration. You guys are celebrating because the relationship is meaningful, not because you're breaking a world record and when you have the clock tick 12 PM you yell "Hurray" or anything

I'm sure it would be a surprise (as it would happen a bit before) and you would still enjoy her company, which is one of the main reasons you guys are probably together (feeling happy with one another).
