Trance is not very rythmic. It's like classical music with a beat on top, but it's not really built into the beat, just made to fit it. House on the other hand, is very rythmic.

OK... most trance isn't rhythmic. But try for example Juno Reactor! I'd imagine they are closest to trance of genres, and they're very rhythmic.

I think people are mixing up rhythm with syncopation.

I think he meant to say that "white people" are more geared towards a "fixed rhythm" (for lack of a better term) and "black people" are more geared towards syncopated rhythm. Not that I necessarily agree, but to say that trance isn't rhythmic is kinda odd. Trance follows a very strict 4/4 beat. Melodies in trance are syncopated, but not the kick, which drives the beat.
