They are since the 6 day (I think) war when all the surrounding Arab countries attacked Israel...Sinai was part of Israel for a long time too untill they returned it and signed a peace treaty with Egypt....Gasa strip and the West Bank have been within Israel's borders forever...

Why do you think the Palestinians want to return to the 60's borders? Because right now they are part of Israel...There is no country called Palestine...

They only controllled it after the war.. it isnt part of the country of ISrael. Its within israel's borders but the international community does not recognize it in maps as israel.. they are the west bank and gaza.
