imho you're not the person to take to party then,
even if he bored you as you say, that doesn't make him
disrespectful to fans.

Because I actually want to hear a DJ take me someplace I've never been. I'm not one to take to a party? Because I don't want to hear the same fucking tracks over and over... Because I like variety?

as I mentioned in a thread a while ago there is a big problem when it comes to some of the hardcore fans on TA.
The biggest problem is not when someone critisizes/supports a certain dj and then starts a flamewar. The biggest problem is when people are so narrowminded and they say something "if you dont have anything positive to say about blabla then dont post anything". How dumb isnt that?
I bet these are the people in the end easily could support dictatorship. Different opinions will not be accepted!

It just shows that people like you have no grounds to bash Armin more than they already do anyway, so they make up a bullshit new story such as disregarding fans, which is of course a total lie.

I've seen him twice and he also bored the shit out of me. Both times it was the exact same thing. Started off with some good stuff, energetic. Then butt-loads of spacey/lovey/uplifting trance. I almost yawned myself to death both times.. and the first time I was rolling.

He's a very formulaic DJ. He's one of the only DJs I know that religiously key's his records as to make sure he has good key progressions. Now I know this is not a bad thing, but it let's me know that he is more head than heart (which is already evident by his sets). It's my opinion, get over it.

But that's besides the point. What I was originally trying to say was not really that he disrespects his fans. Just that he greatly underestimates them. He is in my opinion the most crowd catering DJ out there. Which leads to uncreative music. Which leads to.. Serenity.

I mean c'mon. At least be a bit more creative than "Light" and "Dark" geeeezus. How bout Obsidian and Ashen.. or Somber and Joy.. or Ebony and Ivory.

But about what he thinks of his fans, we both don't know. So stop trying to convince yourself that you do.

I respect you though if you like him. Nothing wrong with that. Seriously.

edit: oh and who the fuck cares if I went off topic. The fugging question was answered in the second post.
