when titling this topic "celebrities" i think its safe to assume that i was speaking about individuals, not a group. i dont think there is any possibility of a vague group of people to ever become celebrities.
and about david beckham being more famous, thats just in our time. in 100 years no one will know of him. plus george w. is WAY more famous, and has WAY more sponsors.
but i guess i agree about that whole time = fame thing. but was there really anyone before his time that is MORE famous than jesus? talking about numbers of people aware of his existence and lasting impact on history or whatnot. i guess thats what my definition of fame would be.

Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan are more famous than Jesus.
It was also shown in "Supersize Me" that children are much more adept at recognizing Ronald McDonald than they are Jay Cee.
