AWSOME, i was so anncy watching that movie last night i was all excited when i knew they entered bree and they were about to meet strider ... man the movie really brought me back some fond memories. the only part which threw me off was when the elven woman did that tidal wave and not gandalf. i think this movie was great and probably the best ever but here is my only complaints. i feel like the movie made it seem as if everything was near by, it didnt make a good feeling of how far their journey had taken them... for example, it looked as if bree was next door to the shire and like wise with rivendale but in actuallity it was a couple days of traveling for each... it was like that for every place they went to, i think they should've had more shots of them traveling in between places or keep as is but say how many days had passed. there was so much action in this movie it needed some more time in between for you to digest everything. also they could've shown a map as segways to show where they were at, i bet anyone who hadnt read the book had no idea where isengaurd was. but then agian how can you complain at the best movie you've ever seen...

Although I haven't read the books (unlike 4 out of the 6 mates I went to see it with) I thought the film was superb. Although its 3 hours long I enjoyed every minute, didnt think it was too hard to follow and it was an excellent film, I'd say on the scale of Star Wars...can't wait for the next one...anyway I'm going to get the books and read them over Christmas If you haven't gone to see it yet, whether you read the books or not, just go now

I liked the movie except it LEFT ME HANGING!
The movie didn't have a true ending, don't like that.
my fav part was when Gandalf says something like "we're smoking the best weed in Bag End". I laughed so hard people started looking at me weird.
and Wicked Neo, you're right about Hugo Weavig he was defintely miscast in that role. He makes a really good bad guy but a really bad good guy.

thats how the (first) book ends as well. its fitting actually. the movie is about the fellowship of the ring and when they split off (the last scenes) then so ends the fellowship... excite if you havent read the whole lord of the rings series let me tell you the second movie will be far better in my opinion. and itll pick up from the exact point as well

EXCELLENT movie, I loved every minute of it...the fight scenes were amazing, the music was good and the visuals were great. The "ending" was a little weird though but there are 2 more movies to be released so I can see why it ended how it did.
Just got back from this one as well.. Awsome! In the begining it sort of dragged on, but as the story went on it just got awsome! The visual effects were amazing. I would have to say my favirote character being the Elf (the Bow & Arrow Elf). Nice ass movie, I would recomend everyone to go see this one.

I saw the movie last night too and it kick ass. The fight scene was better than any I have seen in a long time. The thing that i didnt get was, why do we have till wait till next 2 year to finish the saga? what was the song at the closing credits? it sound very good and chillout.

I'm not a big fan of fantasy shit like this so I thought the movie was nothing special. I admit that the scenary was cool but the fighting could have been a little more violent like Braveheart. And since I didn't read the book I was pissed that it just ended all of a sudden, now I gotta wait a whole damn year to see the next part, they should have just put all three parts together and made it a nine hour movie. That would have been cool.
Thats just my opinion
