my original argument was with the "promoters" and their
lack of advertising for events. I have no beef with
the people, the TA's or DJ's.

I however do sense a strong stench of negativity coming
from this forum. Perhaps that is the reason
for your shitty nite life. Perhaps instead of flaming me
you should inquire of my ideas and be positive to help me
influence change.

not to be totally against you...and you have a fair point against promoters...but even if they wouldn't do anything (ie no promotion)...having clubs that would play edm would created a different vibe. that's a revolution you would want...clubs to be open, people to be open to different kind of music and accept hearing something else than fifty cent crap lines...or beyonce's new moan on a cd...

i've seen postings of club XOX in richmond, promoting trance nights with dj jaspa as one of their residents...if anyone knows more please post

That's you're choice my man! I personally think Krys is expressing his discontentment with the scene here and really wants to do something about it... besides bitching about it

the problem with the vancouver nighlife is not that our clubs close early, its that its rather polarized and because of that not many people end up supporting trance. the only support it gets is at raves but people have other reasons than music to attend those

hey! i actually like beyonce.

if you guys really want this scene to grow again, the best thing you can do as a clubber is support the LOCALS as much as you can, not just the big DJ's.

That's the best advice I've heard in a long time!!!

If you can't support your local DJ's, how can you support a local night?
