bet technical support dont know either-they re probably reading data from the 'less than helpful' userguide/technical data book. i still think a movement to the slider without the display changing by .1% will change the speed the platter is moving. im not familiar with the ttx but if you can choose the pitch range to less than +/-6 then there would be no point unless the adjustments were in increments of less than 0.1%. a 100mm slider moved 1/4mm at +/-16% will only make a change of 0.1%. so this 1/4 mm of movement at say +/- 6% would be less than 0.05% pitch change.

ur right they probably r reading out of a book i dont think they can ever know how accurate the pitch is to the exact number i agree that the pitch increments must change when u change the pitch settings.
They must be doing something right anyway people r buying the deck

I've always been told that the control is digital, but the increments are smaller than the display shows (so probably 0.05 or 0.02%). This was from TTX1 users so it's quite possible it was scandalous propaganda...

Personally I've never specifically tested it but I've gotta say using the pitch 'feels' the same as using my CDJ100s (which also have 0.1% increments)... what exactly this feeling is I have no idea, very hard to explain but if the TTX1 does only move in 0.1% steps this may explain it... although I know in part one of the things that puts me off mixing with the TTX1 is the fact that the pitch slider covers up the lines when it goes over them - personally I line use the lines to know how far I've moved the pitch when I'm mixing

Tbh I'd be very interested to find out how they'd make analogue pitch control with a digital readout... I suppose if it was voltage controlled and you had a series of op amps to round the voltages it would work but it would seem very strange to do it this way when they make such a big point about the whole mixer being digital, particularly when it would be much easier to just make the pitch digital when they've already got DSP in there.

Also, at the time it came out, just about all CD decks moved in 0.1% steps so what reason would they have for making it more accurate than that without making a marketing point about it? Surely it being more accurate would be quite a big selling point?
