As for my thoughts on the 600, it's pretty nice. The one thing that I don't like is that the EQ knobs are too fat and the faders are too wide. I like the smaller sizes on my 62.
Have you put a new crossfader in then or done something clever? As you buy it, a Xone 62 only has a gradual dipless and a gradual dipped crossfade curve... I think just about every scratch DJ on the planet would say they wouldn't touch a mixer without a sharp crossfader curve.
I actually like the EQ knobs, although this is probably more because of the spacing between them than the size of them (Xone92 is the major loser here - as far as I'm concerned the space between the eq knobs is the only thing that stops the xone92 from being a practically perfect mixer!).
I think the faders are good, personally I don't like the faders on the Xone62 as it's hard to grab them and move them quickly... I appreciate most people with a Xone62 aren't too interested in quick cutting or throwing a track in etc, but for that kind of thing I find a flat fader tends to be a lot better.
And a beatcounter doesn't really help with beatmatching... it'll show you if you're roughly in the right ballpark but that's about it, and for that you'd have to keep switching the bpm counter between the channels to see the tempo of each as there's only one counter, so it wouldn't be particularly good for that.

I dunno if your looking for a 4 channel mixer or not etc...
But check out the Numark dmx 06 (think its called that)... 2 channel mixer, effects and built like a tank.. smooth EQs aswell..
Retails here in Australia for around $500 ... not sure what the price is in other countries

If you paid $500 for it you paid too much!
I have owned the dxm 06 for a little over a year, its hardly built like a tank, the left upfader dosent work at all anymore (ordering a replacement) and the right upfader and headphone volume controls are starting to play up.
Its definatly a good beginner mixer but in terms of quality it dosent hold a candle to the more expensive mixers

sorry dude but it does not seem like you have used any decent mixer if you offer that kind of praise to the numark especially if you've paid 500 for it. on the other hand, the numark is a good buy if you were to have purchased it for 250 or less like i did. In any event the djm-600 retails for about 1000$ so if you are gonna spend 1000$ you may as well get the ecler nuo5 it has effects(really really good ones might i add) or the rane empath. it all depends on how many channels you want. Personally the pioneer is just too pricey now if it sold for 699 i would buy it

Mine was roughly 400 i think, but i bought decks at the same time as well. I couldnt tell you something for that price with the features, sure for that price its decent but if i could go back i'd shell out a bit of extra money to get better quality and something that will last longer than a year of bedroom use.

behringer is of worse quality than numark, if you're worried about the quality of numark avoid behringer at all costs
