i dunno about the SP version, but HD25s are excellent cans. you'll just have to get used to the live environment. if you can, try to point all the speakers AWAY from you, towards the crowd. and have 1 or 2 speakers, not that loud, just decently loud and with good sound quality, as your monitors.

i dunno about you guys, but i would just keep the headphones on the whole time. I like using them to beatmatch the best.

idk, maybe its me, but I think thats kind of lame. I need to be able to hear the monitors, know what I'm playing, feel it. Sure the headphone only method works fine, it just takes away from the fun. I like to be able to enjoy whats going on around me...
