there's not enough data for anyone to be sure of that theory.
we just don't have enough history to make any meaningful statements about global warming and increased frequency of storms.

4th Quarter of 1800s = 6 (1873, 77, 86, 93, 94, 98)
1st Quarter of 1900s = 3 (1906, 1909, 1921)
2nd Quarter of 1900s = 2 (1944, 1950)
3rd Quarter of 1900s = 2 (1954, 1964)
4th Quarter of 1900s = 1 (1995)
1st Quarter of 2000s = 0 (so far)
Had the environmental blowhards been accurate, the industrial revolution would show the numbers going in the OPPOSITE direction.
